To all of you & To Lerishia and her staff. Mr. Moses Maboi, Tom Manigk, The Hills, Ad & Marjo Rietveld and the many friends and donors from the UK and Netherlands for all you are doing for us.
I also received the import permit and I forwarded it to my one and only Lerishia.
You are all so wonderful. We are getting better and better every year. Hooray!!!!!
John Martin
Dear all,
Lerisha Riley, from our office in Cape Town, has sent me the attached “amateur” photographs depicting the delivery to AHOS and the unpacking of the container.
At this point, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Lerisha for her sterling efforts in getting the container cleared through customs. International trade requirements stipulate that solid wood packaging or artefacts and the like are fumigated. This is a phytosanitary measure to avoid the spread of wood and plant pests. It took a lot of persuasion and charm on Lerisha’s part to convince SA customs to release the consignment without a fumigation certificate. Thank you, Lerisha!
Mit freundlichen Gruessen/With kind regards
Thomas Manigk
